The Pool caught up with Patternity founders Anna Murray and Grace Winteringham as they discuss their passion for patterns. Inspired by their surroundings and with years of in-depth research, Patternity are now showcasing their best works and the community they have built up in a new book.
Patternity talk about their collaboration with the Imperial War Museum, whose ‘dazzle camouflage’ inspired them to design a range of products for the museum. Patternity also talk about the link between patterns, mindfulness and health. Through hands on workshops like marble printing too mindfulness walks which opens the awareness of patterns that are all round.
Patternity’s studio space is important to them not only does it showcase their work but it gives them an opportunity to reflect as well as to look forward to the next creative challenge.
