Screen Social : BEAT | Film, Music & Spoken Word
Screen Social returns to The Book Club to present BEAT – an evening of film, music and visual rhythm as we wax lyrical with guest artists and spoken word.
Featuring the poetic works of Michelle Madsen, founder and host of the London slam poetry night Hammer and Tongue – she’ll be taking to the stage and reading some of her personal works. Along with Michelle we’ve got rising talent and cat jacket collector Maddy Sakakini who’ll also be sharing her poetic performance works. There will also be a special slot from Poet, Writer, Composer, Performer – Shane Solanki whose short film DUST will also be screening.
At this Screen Social, we’ll also be opening up the stage and passing the mic to anyone who wants to read lines, rhymes and verses – Just sign yourself into a slot on a the door.
In the blend of performances we’ve got BEAT worthy music mixing in and out with a top selection of music videos, documentaries, animations & experiments for us to feast on.
