This Wednesday 9th April at Screen Social we’re excited to present another live set from an up-coming band you should hear. This time it’s eclectic world music with a twist maestros WILDEAST who mix Turkish melodies, Middle Eastern percussion and the progressive beats of London’s musical landscape.
“WILDEAST was formed in 2011 when an Italian percussionist and a Turkish songwriter met in a street jam session in London and decided to create a new kind of world music which combined the best elements of the east and the west. Our music is a fresh blend of Turkish melodies, Middle Eastern percussion and the progressive beats of London’s musical landscape. In WILDEAST, the Gypsy clarinet meets Dubstep meets the Sufi flute. In our live shows we offer a theatrical experience , weaving stories, characters and harmonies into an ecstatic tapestry of sound. Fueled by the vibrant world music scene of London, WILDEAST offers a ritualistic journey for the dwellers of the urban concrete jungle.”
