One of Swhype’s passion projects is this – the ‘four-wheel film festival’, Cannes in a Van.
In 2007 the founders of Swhype loaded a van with independent films and set off for the Cannes Film Festival to screen movies on the street in front of an unsuspecting public. The project garnered a lot of media attention in its first year and went on to spin-off a highly-successful awards and a treasured sponsorship from automotive giant Ford. The project stalled in 2013 after visiting the Venice Film Festival, but is set to return in 2017 for its 10 year anniversary.
This was a sequence created for the initial Van d’Or Awards film submission process.
