After the Xmas break, Screen Social returns in 2012 for two very special events!
The first on Jan 12th is part of the London Short Film Festival.
On Jan 12, the charity music vs film mash-up, Screen Social descends upon Central London’s ICA to spread its mix of music promos, shorts, animation & experiments, with special showcases and guest spots. This is a chance to get a taste of what Screen Social’s mission is all about – screening independent music videos next to classic promos… indie shorts next to motion graphic… animations next to chopped-up film content. This is the one place you can soak up film, music and catch up with friends over a few drinks without breaking your flow.
Along with the usual eclectic mix of great music videos, animations, experiments and shorts, there’ll be a chance to network live via our @ScreenSocialNet Twitter feed. This event will be straight after the Skillset afternoon tea networking session so you can we’d carry on into the evening!
We’re hoping the night will lead to some great collaborations and future projects! Forget networking online when you can do it in person, while checking out some brilliant content.
If you’d like to screen your music videos, animations, experiments or shorts at this, or the next Screen Social event, follow this link and fill out the online submission form here.
We also have our regular night on Wed 18th @ The Book Club EC2 when there’ll be a special appearance by live band, The Winchester Club who’ll be performing tracks from their album, inspired by Adam Curtis’s acclaimed documentary, The Trap.
You will also be submitting to this event, so double the screening potential!
We’re accepting DVDs but prefer hires digital files.
If you don’t make it into the next event, your film might make it into the next, so keep ’em coming!
