The Screen Social team are back from another successful trip to the Cannes Film Festival promoting independent film via our mobile cinema Cannes in a Van.
\nNow it’s back to Shoreditch for the next instalment of the MUSIC VS FILM night which has so far seen amazing performances from the likes of Public Service Broadcasting & Franz Kirmann, superb showcases from directors and studios including Bullion, Art & Graft and Daniels, DJ sets from The Sound of Film & Cosmo Disco, along with loads of brilliant music videos, animations, shorts and motion graphics!<\/p>\n

Thursday June 14th brings two unlikely musical stable mates together for a NOT-TO-BE-MISSED Screen Social exclusive!
\nThe extended mix steadily builds from 7pm starting with shorts and experiments through music videos, a DJ soundtrack soup, showcases from the AMAZING Partizan stable… live sets from L.A. Salami and Trash Money, rounded-off by the oh-so-talented Cosmo Disco and a crescendo of sound & vision into the night!<\/p>\n

L.A. SALAMI<\/b><\/p>\n

Partizan collective SKINNY<\/b><\/p>\n

From super-cool production giant\u00a0PARTIZAN<\/b>, this month comes a showcase from the brilliant Los Angeles-based directing team\u00a0SKINNY<\/b>.\u00a0They release each new video by the means of a happening that underlines the directing team’s commitment to supporting the arts.\u00a0The music video for\u00a0Devendra Banhart’s song “Carmensita” – a\u00a0homage to\u00a0Bollywood,\u00a0garnered a lot of public attention thanks to the presence of\u00a0Natalie Portman. SKINNY’S own cinematic style of direction is powerful, emotive and will get pulses racing at Screen Social.<\/p>\n

We also still have some DVDs of amazing music videos by previously-featured Partizan Parisian directors CANADA, to give away on the night so come on down!<\/p>\n

There is always something to stir the soul taking you to a place you thought you\u2019d forgotten and something else to hit that euphoric spot in your nostalgia.<\/p>\n

COSMO DISCO<\/b><\/p>\n

A long-time friend and sometime collaborator of Screen Social,\u00a0Cosmo Disco<\/a>\u00a0spins a select set of electro breaks and atmospheric beats, matching the mood of SS content to a tee. Look out for some hard-to-find tunes you\u2019ll want to take home with you. He can also be found playing out on\u00a0Space Invader Radio<\/a>.<\/p>\n
