Created by one of the UK&#8217;s biggest advertising agencies,\u00a0the <em>\u2018Look on the Light Side\u2019 <\/em>ads were broadcasted during the Paralympic Games&#8217; opening ceremony and the TV&#8217;s channel&#8217;s peak time &#8211; triggering online and offline conversations about the representation of disabled people in advertising.<\/p>\n<p>As more and more brands seem to slowly embrace this under represented group of consumers, <strong>Michele Oliver, VP of Marketing<\/strong> at <strong>MARS Chocolate UK<\/strong> mentioned \u201c<em>&#8230; we have a responsibility and a role to play in reflecting diversity in everyday media. Based on real-life stories,\u00a0<strong>MARS<\/strong> &amp; <strong>AMV BBDO<\/strong>&#8216;s series of ads succeed in delivering a much more realistic and &#8216;normalised&#8217; portrayal of the people who live with disabilities using clever humour and a human approach.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lYIEAIogarI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>AMV<\/strong> is part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbdo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">BBDO<\/a><\/strong> network, the advertising mammoth behind the awesome <em>&#8216;Wheelchair basketball&#8217;<\/em> commercial &#8211; part of Guinness&#8217; &#8216;<em>Made of More&#8217;<\/em> campaign launched three years ago.
