MUSIC VIDEO: ‘Night Owl’ (2016) – Directed by Quentin Dupieux

Metronomy’s music videos have always got that something that makes them a memorable, visual-striking experience. ‘Night Owl’ – taken from their newly released album, Summer 08′ – is further proof of this.

Directed by French electro musician & filmmaker Quentin Depieux (aka Mr. Oizo), the video follows Joseph Mount‘s death ride to an American dessert along with his girlfriend – played by director and actress, Zoe Cassavetes. Featuring a sliding brain and the Grim Reaper, ‘Night Owl’ is Mount’s surreal living nightmare as he gets killed multiple times by an array of characters throughout the duration of the video.

Quentin Depieux became known for his commercial work for Levi’s Sta-Prest campaigns starring Flat Eric, a lovely yellow puppet (See video below). Since then, he has directed several feature films including ‘Rubber’ (2010),‘Wrong’ (2012)‘Reality’ (2014) and quirky music videos for his own music promos and other electro artists such as Alex Gopher and Sebastien Tellier.
